My BID
Fall 2002 Semester. I was a complete wreck. My father was dying in the hospital and there was nothing I could do. My family wanted me to stay at school and they tried to not tell me everything that was going on but in my soul, I KNEW something was really wrong. That whole semester, my father was in the hospital with a blood infection eating away at his spine.
I couldn't really deal with it so I ended up getting drunk most of the time. My grades were okay since I only took 12 credits but I was a spiritual and mental mess. The BID is that God had people in my life who began to minister to me, talk to me about him. At the end of the year, I gave my life to Christ. And, I'm happy to say, my dad is still alive, he'll never be the man he once was but he's alive and well.
