As one of the advisors for the Zeta Chi Chapter at Baylor in Texas, the PNM's at our school are encouraged to wear jeans/khaki pants during the first round of recruitment. Panhellenic gives out matching shirts to all PNM's to wear also. This encourages people to get to know the PNM's personally and not based on what they are wearing. (It is interesting to see how the PNM's "personalize" their outfits with pins, buttons, sashes and jewelry though!)

Our situation may be different than other schools though - we have nine chapter rooms in one large Panhellenic building, and the PNM's have to sit on the floor in each room during a chant routine that each chapter performs as part of their presentation for each group of PNM's.

Welcome to GreekChat, ADPi1st&Finest! I am so happy to see that you are advising our ADPi's at Baylor. What a wonderful chapter of classy women. I have met many of them and they are amazing (of course they are--- they're ADPi's, aren't they?)!

And you bring up a good example of a TX school where jeans are acceptable for the PNMs.

I was thinking of Baylor's first round of a time when jeans are worn by most! I was also amazed at how many of the women personalize their t-shirts and jeans! Welcome to the boards!
