How do you people in Austin do it? I mean seriously, I was there this last weekend and about had heart failure when I had to throw down $16 bucks for a pitcher of beer!!

On a side note, it was the first time I'd been in downtown Austin in about 10 years and it was awesome.

Who here has seen the movie "Spirit of Texas" that they show at the Bob Bullock Museum in Austin? As someone who has spent the last 4 years out of the promised land, I LOVED it. But, while watching it, I poked my friend and told her, "this is EXACTLY why people from other states hate Texans. We have so much pride and are so proud of Texas that they get jealous."

This weekend is Frontier Fiesta at the University of Houston. An event once heralded by Life Magazine as “the greatest college show on earth.” Country Night will be on Saturday and will feature a free concert by Corry Morrow and Honeybrowne.
