I think this was an excellent move. Also, be sure to register with their "permanent side"not just their temping side (most agencies have a temp side and a perm side)
A lot of employers today use agencies because they want to "try out" someone first, without fully committing to hiring you.
Also, employers use agencies do their recruiting function, so that they themselves to not have to read through 18, 327 resumes for one job posting.
