At my undergrad school, we all lived on halls since we didn't have houses. Well one semester we all decided to have a big sorority get-to-know-each-other function. So we basically set it up like rush where sisters from each sorority were grouped together and went to each other's halls to visit and have snacks. We did it like a progressive thing - we had punch on one floor, appetizers on another, ice cream on another, etc...it was so much fun!
I also like the idea of having mixers with other sororities and fraternities (ie, a 4 - way mixer) -- we never had that in undergrad, but it sounds like a great idea!
