This kind of thing doesn't surprise me-really! With the extremely condemnatory attitude towards homosexuals in the black community amongst males, those who are predisposed to this lifestyle are often put in the position to become self-hating, men who condemn in others what they suffer from themselves. The result often is what has been reported when the charade cannot be maintained any longer.
This requires us, as Christians, to seek mercy and grace for our own sinful proclivities which we all have "for the seed of corruption is in me" as one of my favorite prayers says--whatever they may be--and show mercy to those who are suffering and have made destructive choices, knowing that we ourselves in our falleness and brokeness can go down sinful paths. We should be mindful of this!
