Last night I was at a COR party for the sorority that I advise. I was looking at their table and it was covered in mascot stuff (ASA is the ladybug and Raggedy Ann). There was something on the table that looked like a gingerbread man. I asked what it was suppossed to be and she told me it was one of the mascots. To make a long story short, there was much confusion amongst sisters and many of us new girls began wondering if the gingerbread man was our unofficial or local mascot or something. It turns out the gingerbread man was actually suppossed to be a Raggedy Ann. Yikes! It was hilarious, though.

I had a question for the ASA's out there. I know some chapters use the ladybug only, some use Raggedy Ann only, some use both. Are they both officially national or is it sort of like an assumed thing or an adopted thing (sort of how the Panda for AOII and the turtle for DZ is the "unofficial" yet everyone uses it- I have actually heard many variations on this info as well, please school me if I am wrong).
