I picked my local fraternity for many reasons.
1. We rush anyone, meaning we don't rush only the athletes and the 4.0 students. If you show interest in us, and are of good standing with the university, we give you a shot.
2. Cheaper dues and insurance by far! Not having to pay for national rmf and other various obligations is a huge relief. Tuition is enough to worry about.
3. We are dictated by the rules that our house makes. We aren't subject to a policy made by alum that are half way across the country.
4. My fraternity is a stong symbol on campus. Very involved with the campus and community.
5. The members are the greatest. Real personable guys. Good to hang out with, good to laugh and cry with, and good to tell jokes and share stories with.
6. Our established purpose as a college fraternity: The purpose of a college fraternity is not to capture awards or trophies, nor is it only to establish the best social program. But let it secure a true brotherhood of men and these things will follow. Its brothers shall strive to achieve honor and recognition above all others.
