Thumbs down 2006 Grammy's!

What the hell is this??? Is it a group of suburban high school freshman that nominate artists for the awards?

Category 1 - Record Of The Year

We Belong Together
Mariah Carey

Feel Good Inc.
Gorillaz Featuring De La Soul

Boulevard Of Broken Dreams
Green Day

Hollaback Girl (?????????? this is potentially the BEST song of the year?????)
Gwen Stefani

Gold Digger
Kanye West Jon Brion & Kanye West

Category 4 - Best New Artist
(For a new artist who releases, during the Eligibility Year, the first recording which establishes the public identity of that artist.)

Ciara ( hasnt she been around for a few years now? I recall hearing her "goodies" back in 04"

Fall Out Boy ( horrible)

Keane ( terrible )

John Legend

SugarLand

I haven't seen the entire list of nominees yet, but I totally agree with Green Day & Kanye West. They really tore it up this year, as usual.

And as for Best New Artist...

John Legend *HAS* to win it all. He is PHENOMENAL.

Didn't Green Day win big in '05 Grammy's with American Idiot? How can you be up for the awards the following year without releasing a new album?

I like Keane, but, well, I have ovaries.

I can't believe Hollaback Girl was nominated either. It's amusing but hardly record of the year. (Record of the year is for the whole thing, production-singer-etc, song of the year is actual songwriting, so at least it's not up for that.)

Did anybody watch the Gorillaz on the Grammy's tonight? That was cool how they did it. I read an interview a while back and they were talking about trying to go on tour this year but still havent figured out how they would be able to have a stage presence during their shows. Well I guess they figured it out.

I have to say, I hate Kanye, but I liked his performance - mostly because of the spectacle. Loved the step teams! Broke Phi Broke!

That was the only part that I saw and I thought it was great!!!

Private I, that is probably the peformance that you are talking about... They had a marching band on stage with Kanye and Jamie Fox performing "Golddigger".

Nice
I went to high school with some of the members. I'm glad the Marching 100 keeps getting more and more exposure.
