I bought advance tickets on Fandango for the last Star Wars and you just pick the theater you want to go to.

Though I have complete confidence that many of ya'll will have already seen this, I came across this article that was in the "Mirror". Apparently number 35 is wrong.
It just got me thinking, there are apparently still quite a lot of things that are "vital to the plot" such as Harry's eyes and Aunt Petunia. I'm thinking that book 7 will have to pack in a ton of plot. Yay!
50 Harry Potter Facts
Warning, if you STILL haven't read book 6, there might be some spoilers, but maybe not.

And my thought when I saw it's scheduled release was:
I have to wait HOW LONG???
(I know we're getting closer to 2007 everyday, but it just seems SO far away! )

It's actually NOT that far away. I was thinking 2008 or something.
Wonder how much liberty they will take with the story since it's a lot of "whiney Harry."

J.K. has redone her website & now there's new goodies to be found. Haha! Draco's last name was going to be Spurgen at one point in time.

The new website stuff is pretty fun - though I know where one of the new things to find is meant to be, I can't get it to work... Blargh. I really should have been marking essays, but this is so much more fun.

Well, since this thread has been quiet for a while, pull up a chair, get a snack that will last you awhile and check out this editorial from Mugglenet:
As Clear as Water
and these related discussions:
As Clear as Water Discussion
The Potion Dumbedore Drank: Clearly Not Green
and let the speculation commence.

It's a good theory but of course, Snape did ultimately kill Dumbledore with the Aveda Kedavera curse. Then we see Dumbledore as a portrait in his former office.
I do see the points the author made though. Very good.

Not saying I buy the theory, but if you read through all of the discussion you'll see that addressed quite a bit, with people noting that (1) where does JKR ever say that a portrait can only be in the HM office if the subject is dead; and (2) the theory is that DD drank the draught of the living death, and thus only appears to be dead (in a very deep sleep resembling death), and the portriat shows DD sleeping.
As for the AK curse, I think reasonable arguments can be made (and have been made) both ways -- that Snape really performed the AK or that he only appeared to.
All I can say is that I find this theory both well thought out and fascinating. Ever since Snape quizzed Harry about the Draught of the Living Death in Book 1, the subject has come up over and over again. Makes sense to me we might actually see it used at some point. Not saying that this is the time, but I wonder.
Reading the essay and the discussion, I had to wonder if JKR had read The Rainbow and the Serpent.

Ooooh! Good catch.
I like the theory & personally think it's one of the better ones I've heard. All we can do is wait until the last book comes out but damn the speculation is fun!
On another note, did anyone else take the WOMBAT test when she had the locked door opened for a few days? I did & took a bizarre test. I just got my score & I got an "Exceeds Expectations" on it. Pretty neat.
