And I agree with KillarneyRose--I like names with a nickname. Though I didn't get stuck with LaLa till I was a junior in college, so maybe its better when you earn them.

I've noticed alot of you are going the family name route...
I'd love to use Lily or Ruby as a middle name- or even Jesse. I've got two great grandfathers one on both sides named Jesse. For a boy probably..
There's another family name I loved but I can't remember it right now.
lol
Always,
Jess

My brother swears he will make fun of my kids if I name them any of these names. He thinks they are cruel and unusual

A Word to the Wise...
Don't do what my parents did, name the first child "Tracy" and then when her sister is born 7 years later, name her "Casey". Sigh. We still don't know what they were smoking then they thought THAT one up!

I cried all through Beach Music. Certain portions of it--I'm sure you know which ones I'm talking about--were just too awful for words. But I agree, an incredible book...and a nice name too.

A note of caution...
When naming your children, name them something that others can pronounce. My name is Aimée, pronounced A-May (its french). Now, it might sound nice, but on the playground this is how it plays out: Me: "hi, I'm Aimée" Them: "huh?" Me: "Aimée" Them: "Amy?" Me: "yeah, fine, whatever" Plus, do you want to have the freak kid that has to get the blank license plate for their bike and use the stick on letters?
Now my list of names:
Girls:
Caroline Elisabeth
Madison
Sydney
I've always loved the name Lauren, but one of my cousins is already named that
Boys:
Robert Christopher (In the event that I marry my guy and we have a boy someday - my dad's name is Robert, his dad's is Christopher )
There's a longstanding tradition of using family names for my family, so I guess I'll have to dig back and find some that aren't too french.
