HC...
The "African-American Literature" section at Borders makes me feel thoroughly embarrassed.
That is the deal with the half-naked, baby momma drama, criminal this, video chickenhead that, ignorant book titles?
What the heck is this so called section? Porn?
HC this crap/smut is called, "African-American Literature?
HC I am not sure to reach for a bucket or burst into tears looking at this mess?

HC this chick tried to talk about Bush and the black vote to me today?
HC she was very young and of the "other" persuasion?
HC why even start that type of conversation at work?
HC you might get embarrassed?
HC she "just didn't understand" why if the amount of "AA" int he military increased, and the majority of the military votes were for Bush, yet he has cut "almost every program to AA's"...
HC she was trying to call us "dumb" on the sly?
HC I shut her down with "I don't trust any information concerning Bush and the amount of votes that he received".
HC she is just pure TPT?

HC Zane can sell 2 million books a year?
HC I dislike about street lit, but do eat up AfAm chick lit with upscale characters (think Girlfriends/SATC types?)
HC I appreciate a literary read, but sometimes just need some escapism?

HC there are only a few African-American authors that we still read?

HC I've been mostly reading true crime and non-fiction lately?

HC I have been home for four hours and have not done a darn thing?
HC I tried to go to the supermarket earlier?
HC I've been a beast lately and really wanted some milk and some cooooooookies?
HC I only had three items in my hand but stayed at the supermarket for 45 min?
HC there were like 500 people on line in front of me?
HC they it seemed like they all had at least seven cases of soda in their carts?
HC it was at that moment that I realized it was the first of the month!?!?
HC then I came home and ate my milk and my coooooookies?
