And yes, he's an SAE. I'm pretty sure he didn't mention it because he was trying to set-up his reputation as an outcast hardass, not an overindulged frat boy.

Yeah, I did read the article after the post mentioning it. As I said though, it didn't matter to me whether it was real when I read it. It does sound like there are some people who took it too seriously (who are going with the phrase "hold on", etc). I thought it read like fiction anyway, not a self help book on how everybody should handle addiction. More like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
