Unfortunately for some guys there are women today who DO run around making false accusations, for a variety of reasons. I've seen it often enough to know it's not rare. All good men join all good women in condeming real rape. But today, any accuser is automatically a "victim" and the accused is automatically guilty in the public mind. Even when the accusation is proven false, no charges are filed against the accuser. I don't want to get in a fight over this; I live in a college town and work on a campus and I see this with regularity.
I agree absolutely that no woman wants to be raped, unless she is psychotic, and in that case she needs to be protected against her own inclinations. But, these days when a boy is accused of rape when it's not rape, he has little if any chance to recover the damage to his name or lost prospects.
Nicely said - thanks for putting what a bunch of us have been thinking into words.
