I also agree on asking around for finding people to write you rec's. I was quite surprised actually, as it did not seem like greek life was very common among adults/family friends who I knew. Once one of the women at the barn where I ride out found out that I was rushing in the fall, she not only wrote a rec for me, but also introduced me to other women of different affiliations who were able to write rec's as well.
Somewhat sad note, but also an interesting Greek tie. My 5th grade teacher (who I adored) passed away about a month ago of cancer. Reading her obituary in the newspaper, I learned that she was a Delta Gamma. So, ask any of your teachers (including ones from elementary school).
