LOL I was thinking something similar. He took off the shirt and I was thinking, "uh whoa when did you grow up and develop muscles." I'm taking my students to see Goblet of Fire on Friday, and I'm waiting for to hear the girls at that part.

Before Goblet is out of the movies, I think I will have seen it 4 or 5 times. I think thats a little rediculous, but I'm reminding myself that I will be paying for at most one showing.

There was an interview with Mike Newell in the entertainment section of our local paper. He deliberately made Dumbledore as more of a weak character rather then the all-knowing Dumbledore that I picture in my mind reading the books. That was probably the biggest disappointment to me in the movie

i just saw it tonight and i loved it! i sure would have loved to see more quidditch and a couple of other minor things, but overall, i think they put the stuff they needed in the movie.

i definately want to re-read the books, but i just loaned 1 and 2 to my dad. it is about time he started reading them because he has seen all of the movies!

oh, and the person who mentioned that they should have put more extras on the dvd....amen. i was very dissappointed about that.

Maybe they couldn't include enough extra's (vs. LOTR) because there's a lot of kids and they have school to attend? Whereas all of the characters of Peter Jackson's trilogy were adults, plus everything was filmed all at once, without taking pauses to wait for books to come out, etc (I know most of the books were already written way before, but you know what I mean).

You know, I always told my parents I would wait till all 3 LOTR were out on DVD for us to finally buy a DVD player. We still don't own one. Except for on computers.

I wouldn't mind seeing book 5 divided into 2 films (one Thanksgiving, one Christmas, like I heard the rumor would be for the 3rd or 4th book). I also would have liked the Quidditch World Cup to have been longer. It seemed like it took up half the book when I read it over 4 years ago (although that might have been cos I read it all in one day and was exhausted by the end).

Ditto, I saw it on Saturday, then again tonight. Only this time I knew when to shut my eyes/cover my ears, the first time I was scared out of my wits!!! (in a delicious sort of way)

I finally went and saw the movie yesterday morning. It was so good! I really like this one the best out of the four movies that have been done...

I know that there were some things left out for the sake of time, but a couple scenes bothered me.
1.) The dragons...in the book, the dragons had numbers on their necks so that the contestant knew when they were going. Not in the movie...I think it would have made more sense...but whatever.
2.) The Quidditch World Cup...the whole thing was a little off in my head...

There were others, but I can't remember. But I have to say, this movie followed the flow of the book more...it left in things essetial to the main stroyline.

And I would go see it again...

I finally saw it last night, and honestly I was a little disappointed. (Not enough to NOT buy the movie when it comes out, but I definitely thought this would be my favorite movie, and I think it ranks third!)

I went with a group of friends, most of us who have read the book, and as the credits were rolling we were discussing the idea of the movie being filmed so you wouldn't have had to read the book to understand. One friend brought up a good (if small) point: if you hadn't read the book, you didn't really know that the Durmstrang students were on the boat, and the Beauxbatons (sp?) were the ones in the carriage (unless you caught their headmaster's talking about the care of the horses, which was kinda lost in the activity of the opening banquet).

And what was with the dance class, or for that matter, the Yule Ball? Completely not what I expected - and weren't Harry and Ron's dates (in the book) in different houses - one Ravenclaw, one Gryffindor?

There were a few parts where I got freaked out, but maybe if I saw the movie again it would get better (we had a group of younger individuals - high or middle school students) sitting behind us and talking loudly, making stupid comments, or laughing at something else they were doing in the middle of some of the more "suspenseful" moments of the movie )

As with the other films, I really enjoyed this lastest installment. Order of the Phoenix was my favorite book of the series this far, so I look forward to seeing its film version in the future.
