I hate it when...
Ask comes out as 'ax'.
It's mashed potatoes, not 'mash'.
It's old fashioned, not old 'fashion'.
2 cent? Please, there is more than one, it's 2 cents.
My other pet peeve? When someone says they 'conversate' or 'were conversating' with someone. You can converse with someone or you can engage in conversation. There is no such word as 'conversate'.
