Actually, I would say that Opinion Journal is more credible, seeing as it's distributed by the Wall Street Journal, a very credible publication.
For instance, The Boston Globe is pretty liberal, but I'd still call it credible. Just because you disagree with something doesn't take away its credibility.
As far as the content; I would have been surprised if the President hadn't been approached by members of his own party about this. It will be interesting to see how the situation is handled, and it will be interesting to read opinions on all sides about this.
