Jeni, when I was in college and even before, I knew not to accept drinks from strangers and not to leave my drink alone. I went to a party, got my own drink, and held on to it while I talked to a guy. When I turned my head for a second or two, the guy poured some clear liquid in my drink. Luckily, I saw it out of the corner of my eye, got rid of the drink, and got away from him. I wasn't drunk or even close to it. I turned my head because his friend distracted me. I think he poured alcohol in my drink, not a drug.
At the time I didn't really appreciate what could have happened to me. I never thought it could be anything other than alcohol. I just thought that he was a jerk and I had better get away from him. It is possible for someone to tamper with your drink.
