Ok. At the end I always get confused. Did Claire Danes really steal or was she just lying so that what's her face could go free?

She was lying, neither stole they were framed. She was just being a REAL good friends... I love this movie, it was really good!

It's one of those movies where everytime you watch it, you hope the outcome changes! I wish they'd make a sequel. I'd love to see where the storyline might've gone and if she ever got out.

See, I dont like sequels. I like to make up what happen next. I think the ending suggested she wont ever get out. But I agree, that everytime I see it, I yell "NOOOO" at the TV and etc. etc., i always get real drawn in

Someone else was watching Bravo last night!

For some reason, I love this movie. Good soundtrack, too.

Anyway, yes, Alice (Claire Danes) lied to take the blame for smuggling. I'm guessing she realized that Darlene (Kate Beckinsale) had a better future ahead of her.

(And I hope that Darlene got her degree, became a lawyer and fought for Alice's release!)

That movie was awesome it is one of those you seen so many times times and dont get tired of watching because you do hope for a better outcome

I saw this movie a long time ago and LOVED it. I think I'll put it in my Netflix queue so I can watch it again.

Useless trivia: Did you all know that Tara Reid was originally slated to play the Kate Beckinsdale part?

As many times that I have watched this movie (and yes, I turned on Bravo last night to watch it), last night was the first time I realized that it was Kate Beckinsale who played opposite of Claire Danes.

I wish the ending was different, but it makes sense to me.

Did ya'll know that Kate B. is Half 3/4 and 1/4 Myanmariese (if thats a classification).

Seriously, shes listed on their website as the most famus person from there.

I love this movie also. What I couldn't understand was the part where the lawyer grills the rich (????) friend and then she goes out to courtyard adn reams her friend (Claire Danes). If neither of them were guilty - was that part there to reveal that the rich girl slept with the guy?

Every time I see it, I always wish they hadn't taken the guy up on his offer, or that they had never snuck into the pool area.

Great movie...personally I always felt she was guilty and finally admited it.

Has anyone ever seen "Return to Paradise?" It's basically the male equivlent of "Brokedown Palace."
