Nah, there are cliques everywhere. I had em in my (all-girls) high school (86 in my graduating class) and even in my (co-ed) grade school (60 in my graduating class).
I wasn't in the popular clique, which didn't bother me because I had better friends in another circle. I had no desire to be best friends with the most popular girls, though I was friendly with everyone in my grade and in many of the other grades. Senior year, my classmates voted me Most Unforgettable.
