We don't.
That's why we responded as we did and left this issue alone.
However, Rain Man (a non-NPHC organization member) has continued for whatever reason and his findings are "inconclusive" and we have suddenly "come full circle." LOL.

At the risk of stirring up a hornet's nest, this isssue of NPHC Expansion/Non-NPHC group survival is at once very complex AND very simple.
Very few of the posts here really address the true issue. If we want to have that discussion here, we can but it will be pretty controversial and I really don't want to start a flame war.
If we want to have the discussion (and play nice), I'm game. If not, let's leave it alone.
Let me know.

As the theme song goes, "If you can dish it, we can take it". Or at least I can take it. I don't know about the others, though.
I'm down. What's the real deal about this situation?

With all due respect, let those who don't want to hear the real reason speak for themselves.
As far as the "full circle thing", perhaps if IotaNet was to give the explanation, there wouldn't be a need to go full circle again, hmm?
That way, you'll get that sense of closure you so badly desire.
My inconclusive findings were primarily for Mccoyred's benefit and much less so for everyone else b/c IMHO they are not really in the loop as to what we are discussing and what the ramifications were really all about. The research itself, however, was for everyone's benefit and FYI.
Carry on...

As mentioned earlier, debating is like travel, have the fun doing it is in the actual debating or traveling.
I'm about to take this on another paradigm. This thread is like a cross country train trip with numerous stops in between. Let's say this thread is like a train trip from L.A. to New York. We have stopped at many cities in between (read: gone full circle many times), but haven't really reached our full destination. Now apparently you got off the train in Kansas City, MO or Rockdale, IL. That's all well and good. But don't stop those of us who want to reach our destination of New York City just because you got off at KC or Rockdale. The journey is over for YOU, not necessarily the rest of us.
BTW, If you don't like the train's travel route, why did you get back on the train? And do you have a ticket, ya stowaway? *LOL*
It's funny how you complain that the train ride has a lot of stops in between, but refuse to ride an express train.

If you don't like my response to the Iota, get over it. He provided a disclaimer instead of just putting the discussion out there. He did that for a reason but ultimately he will post whatever he chooses.

It seem Chaos understood IotaNet's post better than you. Because this is not the proper place for that discussion.

Because it is NPHC internal business.

Interesting -- but why?
To the Group -
Those of us who are NPHC members can speak quite eloquently on the strengths and weaknesses of the NPHC and it makes sense, because its health is directly tied to that of our own organizations.
I am curious however about the interest of those who are not members of NPHC organizations. What is your stake in this? Rainman has done a great deal of reasearch on the NPHC. Beyond that, the NPHC history is available on its website as well as the Moorland-Springarn reasearch center at Howard University. Upon further reflection, I doubt that there is anything useful that I can add to a public discussion on this topic.
I will see many of my NPHC cousins at the upcoming NPHC National Convention and there we can engage in some constructive dialogue on what we can do to improve the organization!

And on that note, I think my work here is done, I had a lot of fun, and as far as DSTCHAOS being my wife, she ain't the one.
So I am finito like Judge Ito having a burrito, with a Dorito half-eaten by a mosquito who ODed on tacquitos.
Gene Rayburn for Match Game 78, GOODBYE!
This is Johnny Olsen speaking for Match Game 78, a Mark Goodson, Bill Todman Production.
*see you on the boards*
