Just a note about not clicking with people and people seeming like robots- the first night of recruitment is usually just as nerve-wracking and scary to the sorority women as it is to the PNMs! I'm sure you've heard that before, but I just thought I'd reiterate it ;-) I know it's definitely one of the things that my group struggled with- as time went on during recruitment week we got much more comfortable, and of course had better conversations with the women because of that. That may not be the issue- maybe they just aren't the right groups for you. Just be ready to be surprised later on down the road if you like them more than you did after the first night!

Recruitment kind of like extreme sports like sky diving or bungee jumping (for me, at least, not that I've done any of them!)- I felt totally anxious and panicked at first but once I got over that, I could just slow down and enjoy the ride and the exhiliration of meeting new people, having great conversations, and finding new sisters- if not sisters in my sorority, sisters in the Greek community! I know that probably sounds weird, but it's the best way I can describe the way I felt on the other side of recruitment, recruiting for new members.

Anyway, good luck with everything! I hope that you are happy with your invites- go birds!
