Does that qualify as idolatry though? That just sounds like someone who is interested in the larger picture surrounding their org. I know that I'm still interested in Kappa Sig history; I like finding out how my fraternity has changed throughout the years.
I do agree with you though on the pen and paper thing - I wouldn't be upset about someone using a Kappa Sig pen or something like that. My line is drawn at wearing items with Kappa Sigma on it.
