You would be thinking of KB. Their homes have the shelflife of 8 years before they fall apart. Yeah, you get 4,800 square feet, but the cheapest finsihes on the planet, no pads under the carpet and 1/4 inch plywood under the shingles. DR Horton or Is a great builder for not much more money. There are tons of his developments along 1604. I'm not a huge fan of his architecture, but my friend Heather got a Horton home brand new in Sonoma Ranch for $128K (for 2,000 sq ft) and its good solid construction. A little close to the other houses, and I am not personally a fan of the architecture, but hes a solid builder.

Thats a Texas thing, not SA. Get up north sometime (after you turn 21, lol) and we'll show ya how us northsiders party.

KB houses are like huge boxes. That's it! There seem to always be complaints on the news about KB homes. Our house is a Medallion home. Medallion was building energy effecient homes way before it was the thing to do. Alot of their materials are more environmentally friendly than other's materials. I love our builder. I only wish they were in Austin since I may have to move there eventually.
