Birthday party ideas
I'm having a party for my birthday in my on-campus apartment, but it'll be a sober party, which means I have to make it extra fun to make up for the "everything's-funny-because-I'm-drunk" vibe that won't be there. What kind of stuff do you think I can do to entertain (in a small space)?

party idea
i saw a show on hgtv a while ago, which is hosted by a famous party planner. he and his crew basically preplan the parties , secure all the supplies they need and then set the party up in a matter of hours(or at least that is what they did for this show) the surprise party was held in the apartment of the honoree' and a western/mexican theme was used. it seems that the woman was supposed to go on a trip to palm springs, but had to cancel the trip. the party planners took wide rolls of paper in sunset colors and covered her walls with them(gold, yellow, orange, red). then they took wide rolls of brown paper and cut it to resemble the surrounding mountains. they bought inflatible cacti, and other mexican themed items(check out oriental trading company on the internet) they took rolls of crepe paper in purples and blacks and strung them to cover the ceiling-to resemble the night sky- and they hung shiny cutouts of stars and a moon. you could serve mock margaritas and mock sangria, chips and salsa and other mexican foods, have a pinata, play a trivia game(mexican themed if you want)

Cranium has four parts I think. One part you have to hum a song and get your partner to guess what it is, one part you have to draw or make something out of clay (like pictionary), one part you have to act something out (the card will tell you to be a certain famous person or something), and one part you have to guess the answer to a question... haven't played it in a while, but it's good for big groups
