Yeah, honestly sometimes I do depending on why they said it. If they say something like "because you're so smart or do so many good things for people," how could you not take that as a compliment no matter if you want to do xyz or not. But if it's something ignorant then I basically ignore it. Either way, I always say I'm really not looking to become greek.
