I have never lived in California.. or even "SO cal"... BUT I did grow up in SOUTH TEXAS (if you remember in geography class that's right next to the Mexico border too)
Growing up in S. TX doesn't make me have the kind of attitude that you seem to have for pretty much the same group of folks.
Different strokes for different folks I guess.
It's one thing if people are crossing the border to do harm to people or to do things that could potentially do harm to people (like smuggle drugs for example) but it's quite another if they are just coming here to pick fruit or do things that no other American would want to do to support their family back home that they never even get to see. Would you like to go pick fruit for a living? My best guess is probably not.
