I wasn't surprised about what Mike's father said. But, what I applaud is Mike recognition of what was wrong with what his father said. I am really glad that he is using this experience to grow as a person.
Now, speaking of growing as a person, Nicole needs to take a cue from Mike. She looked extremely childish laying in the bed while Malik was out celebrating his birthday.
Malik finally meeting his father's side of the family was so touching. I love how his Grandma Ruby just embraced him into the family. I think everyone needs one of the loving and wise Black Grandmothers that can give you love, food and good advice.
