Membership Questions

Hello to all the lovely ladies of ZPHIB

I had a question and I was wondering if ya'll could help your soror out...my chapter receives membership questions all the tyme of course and we know how to fully answer general questions like..

"How do I become a member" "Does your organization haze, etc" or questions in regards to national programs

But interested women love asking questions that make me uncomfortable to answer and I really don't answer at all but...I don't want to seem rude or anything or discourage them from seeking interest in the organization...but somethings they don't really need to know ...yet.

So... basically how would I politely tell someone who asks a question like " what symbols on the crest means" or questions about certain wood items.

I mean I get upset when they ask certain question like those and I feel its rude for them to ask

...and I have told interested ladies before " Thats not something you need to know." And most tymes they get offended and I don't like doing that...I know there has to be a more polite way of saying it.

I know this may sound a bit silly, but its been happening for a year now and it really bothers me...my sorors tell me to just not answer, but obviously thats not working either

I really am intrigued to hear your views...it would definately bring clarification to my concern.

Thank you
