I heard something on the news last week that Joan Rivers did not participate in the Friday night telethon because the money was not going directly to victims and/or families.
I think that is what I heard.
I've always been wary of all these organizations. I know that in South Carolina, a "Scrooge" list is published every year. It lists the agencies and how much they actually contribute to the cause they are collecting for.
