I have done both fridge and counter storage and haven't noticed a difference. Currently,my coffee sits out next to the coffee pot where I can have easy access.As I am usually in a hurry in the morning,I am all for whatever is going to save me even a small amount of time.
As for gas station vs Starbucks, I usually put some cinnamon creamer in my travel cup and fill up at my local Quik Trip, makes no difference to me. I can't justify the $4 that Starbucks charges me for a cup.That would be $80 a month if I stopped everyday. I do enjoy the peppermint mocha that they have around the holidays though and I usually will get that about once a week when they serve it.
