Alpha Gam,

You're correct if someone knowingly parks in a restricted area. And you're absolutely right about the student parking people.

My problem is that no college I know of makes anywhere near adequate areas/arrangements for student parking.

With tuition rates climbing yearly (I have a son who is a National Merit Semi-Finalist and will go to a highly selective college somewhere), it seem to me not out of line to expect some kind of accomodation -- especially at in city schools.

Additionally, for a city to make rules which "trap" students -- such as the two hour parking zones I mentioned earlier is simply unfair. Why should a student population be penalized when the university is probably a huge source of income for the city already in terms of jobs, taxes and business. Isn't greed a wonderful thing?

Does anyone out there go to a school with adequate parking for student and staff? Just wondering.
