Although I really wanted Bo to win, I think there was not a loser tonight. Both should go on to have exceptional careers.

I sure feel better about it than I did last year!

As much as I am upset that Bo didn't win, Carrie has an excellent voice, and I'm sure they'll both have great careers.

Although how much control do they have over their albums?

They have VERY LITTLE control over their contracts, marketing, and albums until the contract expires. The AI head honchos control every little detail of their musical careers. The regular contracts in record labels are already horrendous but the AI contracts are absolutely ugly to the core.

Yay, a Sigma is the new American Idol!

I'm really happy for Carrie, but I really like Bo too. They were my favorites from the very beginning. I will buy both of their albums! And I'm going to order the CD that Bo and his band have already put out.

Anyone else notice Scott pimping himself on camera at the end behind Carrie?

I hope that Carrie will recognize being a Sigma/being Greek - that is so great!

I really, really liked the final three, but I was especially rooting for Bo. I think, though, that he'll go on to have a better career without being AI. I doubt he could've gotten much respect as a rocker had he won.

Granted I only watched off and on but I wanted BO! Oh well ya know they both will get a record deal out of it and well what's not to say he will be more famous than her.

I came back to this site before the winner was announced (it just started here) thinking I would just avoid the AI thread and there is a thread in Greek Life that showed up on the homepage and told me that Carrie won.

Good for her. I'd rather her have the evil contract and let Bo have a year of it and run far away to another recording company of his choice.
