well, I remember making a scrapbook for my little. I just filled it with pics & momentos of us and college stuff thru the semester and gave it to her at initiation (that was back when new members were pledges and had the whole semester as a pledge period).
little themed frames, stationary, etc are always good and inexpensive--also maybe a little jewelry box to keep her pin in? I remember getting a lap board with our family tree on it as well as wood cut out letters that my big had made a collage on. I used to LOVE making all that crafty crap--at one point in college, I just wanted to open up my own little greekstore!
