As I'm sure was said in this thread (I haven't gotten a chance to read the whole thing) NPC sororities prohibit their members to be little sisters of fraternity members. So yes, it is kind of banned and illegal.

Just as a question, what does it mean when a girl in an NPC sorority has
XYZ Little Sister in her profile on AIM? (I saw this on a girl's profile whom I haven't spoken to since high school so it's not like I can ask her.
