never ever been a cheerleader (or wanted to, or could have). I grew up playing softball and field hockey. I played softball, field hockey and volleyball all through middle school and high school. I played softball at a D2 college and pledged spring of my freshman year. I was also a RA for 2 years and graduated in 4 with a major and double minor. It was all about time management and being able to work with others. My sorority was very understanding. A lot of my girls were on the soccer or tennis teams. Several of the men on the soccer team were in a fraternity together. Most of the cheerleaders were in another sorority. I was always amazed how we would beat them in Greek Sing and they had all the dancers! Athletics were big at my school and we had a tough schedule. I had to miss most of my spring retreats because of games...
It was tough, mentally and physically, but I won't trade it in for anything!
