this seems to be a much more common thing with fraternities than sororities (at least when talking NPC). The only times i've really heard of NPC sorority new members being held over would be due to health reasons or poor grades or having to withdraw from school that semester for things such as family emergencies.

Otherwise, I don't necessarily see the point. Recruitment should help you determine if you want someone to join your group. The pledge period is a good time to make sure. If you don't know by the end of the pledge period if you want an individual as a bro or sis, that's sorta messed up. You've had a long time to get to know someone, make up your damn mind. To make them go through all that crap again isn't cool,IMO
