Red Carpet Wedding

There was a friend of mine who wanted to get married on the Today show this past summer (she didn't make it, so sad), but she just sent me this contest that I think sounds better, actually...if I were engaged I'd totally enter, but I thought I'd share the love! You can get married on the red carpet right next to Patrick Dempsey (my love!), and they'll pay for practically everything..dress, rings, honeymoon, tuxedo, etc. Good luck if anyone enters! Here's the link:

Great! I'm glad I could introduce you to another contest (you might be an addict hehe). The prizes, even if you don't win the grand prize, all sound pretty amazing to me. So good luck lilsunshine!

Well if you won then you'd be in luck, it looks like they pay for almost everything. This one is particularly cool to me b/c of the red carpet aspect - I'm kind of celebrity-obsessed. But honestly, what could be better than getting married for free? Please let me know if anything comes of it for you - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya!

Dear AlphaFrog,

This note is to inform you that your lack of participation in the community has been rather noticeable of late, and it does not meet the expectations we hold for a senior member. We understand that everyone is busy and has other demands on their time, however, the rest of the community manages to find ways to blow off work and ignore their families in order to fulfill their obligations here. While you may think one member's lack of participation may be unnoticeable, there are situations where every little bit of snark is needed, and that's when your missing contribution is especially apparent.

We hope you'll take these concerns to heart and once again become a fully contributing member of the community. If things don't improve, however, you may be invited before the GC standards-and-snark board. We appreciate your contributions thus far and look forward to enjoying your full participation again!

ITGCB,
GC

cc: Drolefille, this goes for you, too.

Hey lilsunshine, just curious b/c I love these kinds of stories, what was your answer for the entry question, "When did you and your significant other first realize you were meant to be together?" I'm always worried that my entry submissions to contests aren't interesting enough, so I would love to hear your story!

Oh man, I'm glad I took the time to vanity search before I signed off this morning. This is hilarious. When the bidding slows down a bit and we get our tax return done for 2007, I'll have more time with my BlackBerry. I'm so glad that the girl who took over my job when I moved up gets to deal with next year's tax return. We've had to send it back to the CPA at least 3 times to re-do.
