The Other Boleyn Girl

I loved the book - hope the movie is good. (And fun fact - my husband is a direct descendant of Mary Boleyn, and the rumour has always been that the ancestor in question was actually fathered by Henry VIII - I always say that would explain a lot)

I'm definitely going to go see it! I loved the book and am re-reading Inheritance right now. I hope I'm not disapointed!

Let us know how you liked it. Our newspaper review today gave it horrible reviews.

I'm making my friend go see it before me and give me a review. I loved the book and Tudor England is my favorite period in history, so I'm gonna be really disappointed if this movie sucks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that its good.

This is going to be really random, but has anyone noticed the necklace Natalie Portman is wearing in the ads? Isn't it the same one that Betty wears in Ugly Betty?

It is an exact replica of the one in a famous portrait of Anne Boleyn. I can't say about Ugly Betty . . .

My Master's degree is in Elizabethan history, so I am awaiting this movie with trepadition. That said, the book was good as fiction.

I was Katherine of Aragon one year for Halloween.

Knock, Knock.

"Who's there?"

"Trick or treat! I'm Katherine of Aragon!"

"Ummmm . . .have some candy."

No wonder I married a man who did a master's thesis on sacrilege in the Tudor church!

My sorority sisters used to talk soo much about the book and how much they loved it. I'm always interested in the Tudor history, so i'm interested in seeing this movie. I'd like to read the book as well, but i might wait until after I see the movie.

I liked the book, but found a lot of historic inaccuracies. I plan to see the movie, however.

It has a 49% rating on RottenTomatoes right now. Not great.
