Man sues newspaper for printing wrong lottery numbers

I'd say he deserves something.

When I was still at a Denver TV station, we televised the Lottery drawings, and had to be SO careful not to make ANY kind of procedural or reporting error because of how squeaky clean lotteries have to be.

Bottom line-Did he have the true winning numbers: NO.
But if he had some, in most games he will get something just not the big bucks.

I don't know that they said he had any of the winning numbers. They might have posted last month's numbers -- or the numbers on the paper in their fortune cookie.

I don't think he should get the jackpot by any means, but the paper probably should do something for him.

If nothing else, it's just real bad journalism.
