Another new Greek system
I don't remember seeing anything about this but I found out from our IH today that we are presenting so I looked them up.

Always glad to hear about new systems.
Sounds like a lot of bureaucracy (of course, it is a MAJOR IMPORTANT campus). They must be ticked off that two GLOs wouldn't even make a presentation.

Good luck to all involved!
Another campus opening to Greek Life for the first time is LSU - Alexandria. Kappa Sigma has already established a colony there.

i'm surprised they are not allowing general students to attend the presentations. when my campus expanded, i believe they gave each organization a short time to talk about their org with the general campus population.

I'm guessing you were being sarcastic when you said it was a major important campus....10 years ago (less than that I think) it was a 2 year community college.
Interesting development...next time I'm home I think I'll have to go check it out.

Has anyone heard anything? Their website says the announcement is going to be made this month. Kappa Sigma web site is already showing that they have placed a colony on campus.
P.S. This is my first post! Yeah!

Thanks, Tom. I appreciate it.
I have been interested in what's going to happen at UA-Fort Smith. I graduated from Arkansas State. Arkansas is actually a fairly strong Greek state. UA of course, but Arkansas State and University of Central Arkansas both have fairly strong Greek systems.

Current Update
Formal invitations have been sent out to 2 sororities and 2 fraternities to colonize. The Greek Life Office is waiting for acceptance by the groups. They hope to make an announcement soon.
The groups that presented were:
Sororities
Alpha Sigma Tau
Delta Gamma
Gamma Phi Beta
Zeta Tau Alpha
Fraternities
Kappa Alpha
Kappa Sigma
Sigma Nu
Have any members of these groups heard anything?
