Zeta Beta Tau to colonize @ Kent State!!!

So, I'm on campus reading the paper and I come across an ad for young men interested in joining ZBT! They are colonizing here this fall! Fraternity expansion has been pretty aggressive here. Lambda Chi Alpha just received their charter last spring. I'm excited and I just wanted to share the news!

Not for nothing, but...

ZBT takes out ads like that at many schools and it doesn't mean they are colonizing. I think it happens more if ZBT was there and their chapter got closed so the alumni do it. They did it at my school for years and years without anything more than a newspaper ad to show for it at the end.

Hopefully they really are colonizing - a chapter seemed to be on the verge of doing so at my school, but nothing ended up coming of it.

If it's true, good luck to them - ZBT is one of the stronger chapters at my alma mater.

I had a friend who was a ZBT at a local University. Knowing what I know about their group, I can picture what Rudey says to be true.

Hopefully they do better at Kent then they did at my school. They formed an official colony but never went beyond that. They couldn't get the guys young and they all graduated without leaving a legacy. Alas, no more. But we've got quite a few fraternities on our campus for a commuter school. Bringing more on board may not have been wise.

Sans my ex-bf, they were actually pretty groovy guys. A couple I still chat with and see on occasion.
