Lightbulb Nicknames...

What are some of the most hilarious/ridayumdiculous nicknames that you have heard of?

Did you have a nickname growing up and if so, what was it?

If you had a nickname, do you still answer to it?

Inquiring minds would like to know!

My cousin's cousin(you understand) is nicknamed StinkyButt. This may have been acceptable when he was an infant and toddler; but the call him that to this day. He is damn near 20 years old. I feel bad for him too. He doesn't even object to it.

My nickname isn't funny, at least not to me. My name is Monique, my family calls me Moke. Always has, still do. I love it! It's one of the things that keeps me grounded. Some people thought they were saying "Mo," and we would just laugh about that, like, "Ha, ha, they can't get it right!"

When I was in HS, I was really skinny, my sister used to call me Annie, short for Anorexic. I did NOT like that mess. And you know she brought it up this weekend! She uses it on my other sister, now, lol.

I think the funniest one I've ever heard, this girl I went to college with, one of her childhood nicknames was Waterhead, b/c she had a big head.

I have a little cousin named Stank. I have no earthly idea what the chile's real name is. I don't know if I've ever known his name.

My cousin's ex husband..his nickname is Mudd..he is dark, so i guess that is where it comes from..

My given birthname is Too Sweet, I have an aunt who called me Hershey May for years..I hated it..maybe cuz i didnt (and still dont) like her..

we used to call my neighbor's little boy rat, because, well, he looked like a lil rat. now, his name is lil man

my dad has a friend who they've been calling beast since college. they call him that because, well, the man is ugly.

my dad has pointed ears so his old college buddies call him wolf.

when i was a baby, i used to follow my older sister around all the time (i learned to walk at 9 mos. trying to keep up with her). so, my dad started calling me boo boo after yogi bear's sidekick. he still calls me that to this day. if he were to call me by my real name, it wouldn't sound right.

my little brother has no table manners. if he is eating and food is hanging out of his mouth, he will tilt his head back and flip the food in his mouth like a dang dinosaur, so they call him t-rex.

my first name is melody, so i'm also called mel, mellydelicatessan (my bestfriend and her brother call me that and i have no idea why ), mel-mel, and because i was known for being "regular" my freshman year and always in the bathroom, they called me smelly mel

I always tell my students this on the first day of school so that they can appreciate the impact of what they do in high school/college will have on them for the rest of their lives.

When I was in kindergarten, there was a boy in my class that sniffed glue, ate crayons and ate his boogers. His name was David but we all called him Booger Nose David. He always had boogers in his nose to eat. Anyway, I left that school after second grade and never saw David again. Years later, when I was home on break from college I was on the train. Some guy starts calling my name. I turn around and this guy is walking towards me with a big ol kool-ade smile on his face. He's like, "Wow! I haven't seem you in almost 20 years!" I'm looking at him smiling but I still don't recognize his face. So, I'm staring and staring. Then I SHOUT, "OH MY GOD! Booger Nose David!!!" I was sooooooo embarrassed. His smile just deflated. And, he was FINE!! Damn...

My sister and my friends used to call me Rain Drop Head because they said my face is shaped like an upside down rain drop. They still call me that whenever our family gets together. The bigger the crowd, the more they say it to piss me off.

My sister calls me, Sister. It's so funny because when people meet her for the first time they always ask me why she does that. I love that nickname because it's not just her saying it, but how she says it. It reminds me of how attached I was to her growing up. I still am.

Anyway, this is a book...

I don't think I have any funny nicknames in my family, but most of us have them. Let's see...
My name is Tracey and everyone calls me Tray. My family refuses to say Tray, so they just say Trace.
I have 3 sisters. One of my sister's (RIP) nickname was Blue. I think my mom made it up, but I don't know why/how she derived at that name.
My dad's childhood nickname was Pookie and EVERYONE still calls him that!
My mom's name is Mary Catherine and whenever we visit her family in Lousiana (yeah, I mispelled that on purpose), everyone calls her Mary Catherine...not Mary, but Mary Catherine. Must be a southern thing.
Oh and one of my nephew's name is Kalen. However, my dad didn't like it (he thought it was too feminine), so he nicknamed him Jake. LOL! For a while, my nephew thought that Jake was his real name! He'd actually tell people he met that was his name and my sister would have to correct him! lol

Cool

LOL, this topic is funny.

Well, when I was little, my uncle used to call me "Boom Boom" and my grandfather called me "Chicken"(still does). To this day, I have no idea why either of the names started.

When I was in elementary, there was a boy named London. We used to call him "London Bridges" and sing "London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down..." when ever he came around. Hahahahahaha, still make me laugh to think about it.

Having parts of the fam str8 out the country, there's nothing I haven't heard. Everyone knows a Junebug, Lil' Mane, and Lil' (insert parent's name here). Also memorable:
Head
Onion (don't ask)
Bug
Frog
Tooley (my cousins nickname)
Tank (cuz he had a huge head)
and the list goes on....

My parents always call me by part of my name. If they call me by my whole name, I know I done did something!!!
