Skin cancer is now the most common form of cancer, with at least 1,000,000 diagnoses yearly. While not the deadliest cancer, one in five Americans will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime.

This isn't just a women's health issue, a young person's issue, or for those with less melanin and lighter skin. College, Alumni/a, and Headquarters can be all promote or be involved in this health issue as it is widespread.
Please consider skin health and skin cancer awareness in your risk management programming, philanthropy work, and community health awareness events. There are different groups and organizations to work with, including (Pasty By Choice) one by a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma who was diagnosed with melanoma while a college junior at age 21.
