man...i really hope oakland doesn't blow this game. they are 20x better then boston and the pitching staff owns the sox (i really love pedro though...so i dunno  )

This city is going nuts - yesterday was a great day to be from Chicago. Not only do the Cubs win a post-season series for the first time since 1908, the Bears also managed to win a game! Life is good!
Now, if Wood could only stop the garbage strike....

Thank you! Why oh why do I let myself get so caught up in these series, when I KNOW that I am destined to be disappointed! Yet again, the Giants and A's snatch defeat from the jaws of victory... I do give props to the Red Sox and the Marlins...another wild card World Series would be great, just like a Red Sox/Cubs series-just NO YANKEES (although I am sure that Fox is rooting for a Yankees/Cubs series for some serious ratings!).

uggggggggh the a's have done this crap FOUR STRAIGHT TIMES. i will never root for them EVER.
and the giants SCREWED THEMSELVES in last years world series. i am going to root for LA or San Diego now.
