Has Hell Frozen Over??? (Baseball)
The Chicago Cubs are claiming first place in their division with just 4 games left, and the Boston Red Sox are also posed to capture the American League Wild Card.
My question: Has hell frozen over??? Discuss. |
GO RED SOX! :) :)

when chicago plays boston in the world series, then this statement will be true...
BUT TOO BAD SINCE THE S.F. GIANTS WILL BE PLAYIN THE OAKLAND A'S IN THE "BATTLE OF THE BAY 2" |
I agree with Champ, up to his prediction.
Hell will freeze over if it's the Cubs and Sox in the Series. But it ain't gonna happen cuz i'm feelin the Braves this year(if my stros don't pull it out and get in) Kitso KS 361 |
Come on you guys....following the logic of "It only happens once every 100 years..." ITS GOTTA BE MY CUBBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
And there is no team that deserves it more.....or has less of a chance of it ever happening again:D |

Add to that the annoying crowd at the games that knows nothing about baseball and thinks the stadium is just a large lincoln park bar. I love going to games in Wrigley Field, and the crowd is a lot nicer than the jackasses at US Cellular, but really, let's not kid ourselves - people are there for the beer and then for the Cubby Bear after. -Rudey --The Red Sox are busy giving head to each other so I don't care much for them. |

I actually agree with the above, cannot stand ppl who are like, Yeah I went to the game and got wasted.......granted I've done that before but I really was there to see the game. All in all though, Wrigley has heart. It's what makes lil kids want to grow up and be ball players, its what makes dads want to take their sons to the game. Wrigley's got an authentic feel to it that I wouldn't trade for the world....especially since my other option is to get mugged at a White Sox game across the street from Cabrini Green. |
K I"m rereading my post and also meant to say this----
I realize we're not as talented as some other teams. But I think that people have shortsighted what the Cubs have accomplished this year due to an 'easy' schedule. Sure, the recent teams were beneficial, but we played hard teams in the beginning. All the games count, and if we sucked this year like we have before, we wouldn't be standing in the #1 spot right now. |

I think we could repeat it yet again!

No No No, you all have it all wrong. The Yankees are winning it all this year! I mean really, they need to get back on track.

As a Padres fan, I don't know what it's like to regularly be in the hunt for a pennant.
But, if Boston can take out the Yanks.........I'll be smiling from ear to ear. |

San Francisco will take out the Braves. Sorry, Kitso, but I have to agree with Gary Sheffield's statement in the Newspaper: they don't a sense of urgency. they're stuck in a rut where winning a Division Title is good enough for them. As for the Cubs, they have a decent shot. White Sox WILL NOT make it past the Division series. Until my Indians get back to the top: GO TWINS!!!!!! |
