maybe the tigers were correct in not re-igning him after all

He's getting to be a guaranteed out much like the pitcher.

Clemens was sick, the Metrodome home field advantage is overrated when it comes to the Yankees (won 5 in a row there).

Hopefully today they clinch.

dude, do you understand how ridiculous this statement is?

i mean, the last time the red sox won a playoff game, damn . . . let me think . . . oh yeah, they won an entire series that one time, oh yeah - the LAST TIME they made the playoffs?

then in the ALCS they got pounded, but still won the pedro-clemens game in fenway - all in 99. It's not like they never win a game.

I guess i don't get what you're talking about bro - but hey, know what's really important? TROT NIXON - HANDLEBAR HERO

Clutch hitting by the BoSox in the 8th.

I hope they can win game 5 in Oakland, i'd love to see a Yankees-BoSox ALCS.

That's the only way Boston can break the curse of the Bambino, they gotta beat the hated Yanks to get to the Series. Plus, with the absolute hatred the Sox fans have for the Yanks, that series will either lead to a mass riot in Boston or mass suicides by depressed beantowners.

either way, it'll be fun as hell to watch, right?

Kitso
KS 361 times ya GOTTA root for the BoSox, just so you can tell your kids that you actually saw them win a WS in your lifetime

First of all i'd like to quote myself:

because Trot Nixon has been my favorite player for the sox since he started playing for them. I went through a Mo Vaughn/Scott Hatteburg/Jeff Frye stage, and then it was Shea Hillenbrand (I'm STILL pissed about that trade...Oh you should have HEARD the names I was calling Kim when he f-ed up that 8th inning in the 1st game against Oakland the other night. I sounded like a truck driver...). But now, it's Trot. All Trot, all the time. (I was telling the active sisters the only thing I have trouble with during pledging is not wearing my Nixon jersey!) Last night, I turned to my friend Zach and I was like "Wouldn't it be nice if the sox won this game and it was MY Trot Nixon that did it?" WHAM- the ball goes flying into the bleachers and I jump up and scream. Then we all ran out into the street to join the chorus of "YAN-KEES SUCK. YAN-KEES SUCK" reverberating throughout the streets of Boston.

The Boston Red Sox, while obviously not the best team in the league, are a FUN team. It's FUN to be a fan. They're going far this year guys. Those are my boys.

One more time:

i'm am right there with you on that... part of the reason why i declared my love for him in the random thread last night after he hit that home run! i was so pessimistic at the beginning of this series.. i was not sure they could pull it out... i'm so pumped for tomorrow's game now!

Thumbs up Pedro Martinez, part II

Has a second chance. Hopefully, he will deliver his usual Pedro Martinez performance in Game 5. Again, none of my teams are in this postseason, but I like excellence.
