I have to say being from Louisville, that it is truly a mix or blend of North and South, one complementing the other. I'm from Louisville, been there since I was 5 and when I go out to eat I always ask for a Coke. And we have Chick-fil-A's, so by those two standards, we are a southern city, probably more so that Lexington which is actually further south. Hmm, interesting.

All the talk about sweet tea and sugar vs sugar substitute got me thinking
i usually make sweet tea with regular sugar... so today i bought some splenda and made my sweet tea with it..
at first when i put it into the hot water it kinda foamed up...
but all in all it tastes almost the same..no yucky aftertaste...
i think im hooked on splenda

The South just don't agree with mee!!!
I luuuuvvvvv the south. My folks livin' up in the ATL and Florida... Hell, I lived in Dallas for a year!!!
But, I go crazy down south... I dunno what it is, the weather, the atmosphere, the rules, but this SoCal gwirl cain't handle the souf!!!
I miss the Bubba's BBQ on I-45, I miss the Varsity in the ATL, I miss Winn Dixie's, I miss it!!! But cha y'all's be drinkin' when you drive!!! Anna a cop ain't around when you need 'em... But y'all can carry concealed weapons... And them Farm Routes I'll never get... And the skeeters, be chewin' me up thinkin' I'm sweet!!!
Why is it my folks still have their southern twaing???

This is too funny, because I say this all the time. In fact,I just used this phrase today when speaking about my boss.
As a born and bred Mississipian (plus educated in Kentucky) I can definitely say that I miss the South and will probably move back when I'm older. Things I miss:
- Of course sweet tea (and not having to ask "is this sweetened?")
- The FOOD! In the South, soul food and southern food are the same thing! and don't get me started on grits...
- The people. Sorry to stereotype, but people are friendlier down South.
- Etiquette. The only place I know where a girl (sorry, young lady) can still attends charm school.
Ahhhh, memories.

The southerners just have impeccable grasps on geography, bless their precious little hearts.
Although the sweet tea sort of made up for it.

Oh, don't lie, Blaine. Everyone knows we're all about cows up here.
Our sorority house is actually a barn, and we keep the cows tied up out back in between us and Kappa Sig.
