I had a weird dream last night that had a background in reality.
Reality: DH and I went away for a long weekend. We stayed in an inn where Wi-Fi is supposed to be available throughout the property. It was available in the main building, but the links to the outlying buildings were down. It was a bit annoying, but we went away to be OFFline. We, uh, found other ways to occupy our time. *cough*
Dream: I could pick up a Wi-Fi signal, despite the fact that DH couldn't. I was receiving the signal on my iPad.
Reality: I do not own an iPad.
Dream: I own an iPad.......

Don't despair! I'm no dream expert, but death dreams are among the easiest ones to understand. When someone dies in your dream, it *usually* signals the figurative death of part of you.
You just have to think about what has changed in your life and how you've been affected. Did you recently move? Did you lose a job? Did you have a falling out with a friend? Did you come to realize you're not the person you thought you were? And so on.
Repetitive dreams are just your mind's way of working something out. It might be that you need to come to terms with something or it could also mean that your healing is taking some time.

So as not to make an incredibly long post, I'm doing this one separately.
I had a dream last week that I still remember now. I was going into a movie theater, but it was high tech, I guess you could say. It also had a cool feature where you sat on padded high-back reclining benches and could adjust the space width to accommodate additional people or belongings.
Moving right along, once everyone was seated the back rows began to elevate into the shape of an auditorium. Then the entire room glided forward into a huge cylindrical tube thing (like the senate building in Star Wars lol) where you would watch your movie on a gigantic screen.
The weird part went as follows. I was there with a friend (someone I don't actually know in real life) and she was whispering to me during the previews. She would say "Oh that looks good" and things like that. I would just nod and say "mhmm."
Unfortunately, the guy sitting to my right was pissed that we were talking so he started yelling at us. All the other men in the theater started to stand up, but I told them it was ok.
Then, I said to the guy, "It's just the previews. We'll keep quiet during the movie." Then, he stood up and punched me in the stomach. I lost my breath for a couple of seconds and then, with a raised voice but not quite yelling, I said "Did anybody see that?!?!?! He just punched me!!"
At that point, all the men jumped out of their seats. A crowd of them came and hauled the guy off and I enjoyed the rest of the movie.

1. You have no idea @the bolded. Hell, at all of this.
2. They are no less sad and disturbing. Oof, esp the one about my mom. I think that was the hardest when I woke up. When I saw her, I threw myself at her and refused to let go for eons.

Very weird dream last night and I need to write it down before I forget.
I was staying in this awesome beach house and a bunch of people I didn't know were visiting there, almost like a family get together, but I didn't know any of them. I loved it and talked to a realtor about buying it. I went into one room that I didn't even realize was there before and thought it would be perfect to turn into a rental apartment with a little work. I left the beach house and was in the city, at a sorority event but it wasn't Convention because Convention had just happened and I had missed it. Everybody that would be at Convention was at this hotel though and the International President came to me to give me some information on a slip of paper. I met up with agzg and we were checking out the city we were in (no idea what city it was). We ended up at this other convention which was like a carnival almost. There were different areas of games of all types... one was like a Bingo area, one was like a lottery area, one area was board games. But it had this carnival/circus atmosphere, almost like Vegas, but without slot machines or anythings. I wanted to go back to my hotel so I went outside and got into a van. The other people in the van were my first husband's family and, my first husband. The van was very crowded and I ended up sitting very close to my ex husband. He put his arm around me and said "You're still so beautiful. You were always very beautiful." I said "You complained about my weight all the time and never treated me like I was beautiful" and he said "I never cared whether you gained weight or not but your kisses were awful" I told him "That's really weird because every man I ever date says I am a great kisser". We kind of snuggled the rest of the ride and when we got to the hotel, he got out and got into a caravan of vehicles that were going back to his home town. I woke up. Bizarre.

I dreamed about a very hot man being my boyfriend, and one of my sisters' moms owning his favorite Chinese restaurant that unfortunately was about to get closed down (she is nowhere near Chinese).

I dreamed about working at a school library for no pay. I actually have this dream a lot. Maybe I miss working.

I rarely even remember my dreams. I hear that a lot of people dream in black and white. For the dreams that I remember, they're always in color.

I just woke up from a long nap. I was sleeping so well, but, I had a terrible nightmare. I don't know why, but for some reason I was married, and I had a 3 year old daughter in this dream. Well, apparently, I used the same clown every year for her birthday party, so he kind of earned my trust. Long story short, every year that he would show for her birthday party, he seemed to look more and more evil. The first time we hired this clown, he was very friendly, and the kids loved him. The next year, he was still friendly, it's just that his face had a slight frown this time. The next year, his eyes looked more evil and he had more of a frown on his face. Then his smile began to look really creepy and sneaky the following year. When we decided that he was starting to look and act really creepy, we didn't hire him anymore. Because of that, he started showing up uninvited looking through our window. So, we called the police, but whenever they would show up, he wouldn't be there. Then one night, I was at home alone, reading. I heard the front door open, so, I thought it was my "husband" coming home from work. When I called his name, it wasn't him. It was a really creepy voice that said "Honey, I'm hooooome" then there was this really creepy laugh as I heard him walking up the stairs. As he was walking up the stairs, he started singing "happy birthday to you". So, I hid under the bed, and when I did, I could hear him laughing and I could see his red clown shoes walking around looking for me. I closed my eyes, when I opened them, there he was staring at me with an evil smile on his face like this one. When he reached in to grab me, that's when I woke up. I'm still scared.

I don't know what I ate before I went to dinner, but there were ladies in burqas pushing carts of mulch around Home Depot. I need an image of that to post.

This gets weird so bear with me...
I had a dream that a friend and I were vacationing to New Smyrna Beach. We were at the beach, which was more of like a river shore I guess because it was the sandy beach but there was a shore right across the water from us. I guess it was like an estuary to the ocean? Idk. Anyways I had my surfboard and the waves where we were were pretty awful, so we followed the river or whatever up a little bit until it opened up into a bigger bay where there were waves. So I waded into the water up to a point where the sandy bottom dropped off into a much deeper pool, which is pretty normal for about 20 yards offshore. Right as I'm about to paddle out, some guy just standing there is like "the current gets really bad after the drop-off" (also normal) and I was like eh whatev and hopped on my board and paddled out. Idk where my friend is anymore lol
Anyways, I get out into the deeper water and the current is dragging me out to sea. I can't paddle against it. I get off my board and can't swim against it. I look back onshore and a guy stands up, notices I'm in distress, dives in, grabs me and swims me back to shore.
It was Charlie Sheen.
I was like OMG THANK YOU OMG I ALMOST DIED WOAH CHARLIE SHEEN
this is the trippy part though. I get back from vacation and (sorry it takes a mad turn for the weird right here) get on GC and DrPhil has posted a thread about a news article about the rescue and everyone is "discussing" it or whatever and I'm like GUYS THAT WAS ME. CHARLIE SHEEN IS THE BEST11!1!!!1 HE SAVED MY LIFE
that's all I remember

Lol that post was almost a year ago. I had to go back and look at it.
And yes, a lot was changing around that time (my birthday). Roles of all my family members were shifting as we were going through a huge transition as a family. Your post made a lot of sense.
